What it is and who it is for
Which option suits your site and Jeddah's climate
| Type | Best for | Lifespan and Jeddah climate | Lighting and finish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Acrylic face and acrylic return (fully lit) | Shop and restaurant facades that need maximum night visibility | UV-stable acrylic 3 to 10 mm with drain holes against humidity | Full face-lit, 12 V LED modules |
| Acrylic face with aluminium or stainless return | Showrooms and offices that want a lit face with a metal edge | Metal returns that do not yellow, insulated against galvanic corrosion | Face-lit, or face and halo together |
| Stainless 304 brushed or mirror (316 near the corniche) | Reception walls, law and engineering offices, stone facades | Near the sea we use 316 or coated 304 against coastal salt | Halo with a 20 to 30 mm standoff, or unlit |
| Brass or gold-PVD stainless | Executive reception logos and classic identities | PVD holds its colour outdoors; brass is best indoors | Halo or unlit |
| Painted galvanised sheet (zincor) | Large exterior letters, temporary projects and tight budgets | Needs a good coating and a check after the humid season | Unlit or halo |

Questions clients ask before ordering
Acrylic or stainless letters?
Acrylic gives full face illumination at lower cost; stainless gives a premium metal look and is usually halo-lit. For exteriors near the sea we prefer 316 or coated stainless.
What is back-lit (halo) lighting?
Light escaping behind the letter onto the wall, creating a halo around an opaque letter. The letter needs a 20 to 30 mm standoff and a light-coloured wall for the best result.
What is the per-metre price of 3D letters?
Priced per linear metre or per letter depending on height, depth, material and lighting. Published Jeddah market ranges for 2026 are roughly 450 to 1,200 SAR per linear metre for lit letters; our quote depends on your specification.
What is the smallest letter height readable from the street?
As a rule of thumb, every 10 cm of letter height reads from about 30 m in daylight. On wide streets we use the permitted 80 cm maximum.
Can the logo be made in brass?
Yes, in solid brass or gold-PVD stainless, which holds its colour better outdoors.
How long do 3D letters take?
It depends on the material, the height and the lighting; fabrication starts after file and sample approval, and we confirm the timeline in the quote.
Can letters be mounted on glass or stone?
Yes, with concealed studs or structural adhesive pads depending on the surface, using a drilling template for alignment. We inspect the surface before fabrication.
What about the CR number on the sign?
The requirements place it as a line about 15 cm high in the same colour as the letters below the name. We make it in the same material so it reads as part of the design.
What is "zincor"?
Painted galvanised sheet, the lowest-cost option for large exterior letters. Suitable for temporary projects or tight budgets, and it needs a good coating against humidity.
Who fabricates and installs the letters?
We design the letters, prepare the production files and manage fabrication and installation through specialist workshops and crews we work with, then check the result before handover. You deal with one party from the drawing to the warranty.
